Travel to the top of Mount Everest
and while I'm up there
snatch a fragment of cloud
for a souvenir
I want to flatten that cloud in a
scrapbook
between pages jammed with coral from the Bermuda Triangle
and snowflakes from the Arctic
Chronicle the stories of my
cloud
coral
and snow
with ink from an octupus I met up with
off the shores of Thailand
I want to write epic poems with your tears
so one day
only reams of paper will separate us
